Nubian Waves is a black blog that provides information to empower African Americans in numerous ways such as: how to make money online, increase your productivity, examining Black History, and much more.
The blog is comprised of three channels:
Empowerment - Articles falling under this banner can be considered ‘life hacks‘ - tips for living your life more productively. Posts may cover how to manage your time better, decrease stress, and more.
Black Entrepreneurship - Posts here cover anything business related, with a huge focus on online entrepreneurship.
Society - Articles in this category will cover race and politics, the black community, black history, and other issues. We used to cover black celebrity gossip, but we will leave that to our sister site Black in the City.
The Editor
Kirshan Murphy provides most of the editorial content of the site and is joined by the occasional contributor. His web ventures include:
- Nashirk - The site showcases the numerous services he provides that include: Online Marketing, Consulting and Training, Nightlife Event Management, Artist Services, and more.
- Black in the City - A black blog community with numerous features that include: user blogs, forums, video submission, and news. It also holds events in the New York City area.
- And of course, Nubian Waves.
He is also the Co-Founder and Co-Director of The Fusion Community Project, an organization that works to improve our communities through the arts. The current focus is the Fusion of Youth program.
