On Monday, the Barack Obama campaign launched a website that tracks all of the attacks from Hillary Clinton.

On a web posting, Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe, said:

“We’re asking all of you to be vigilant and notify us immediately of any attacks from Senator Clinton or her supporters as soon as you see them so that we can respond with the truth swiftly and forcefully.”

I think this is a great idea because it strengthens Obama’s case that he is tired of negative politics and can provide proof that the Clinton campaign is engaging in them. On top of that, he is involving all of his supporters. Now you don’t have to just rely on the hired campaign staff to monitor this stuff - you have the millions of supporters helping. Through in the internet and bam - power.

You can expect that in the future many campaigns will follow this model.

Now whether or not they engage in the same negative politics they are against is a different story…
